STOCK SCREEN:
Screen to maintain your actual stock levels.
Original Stock Level/On Order:
This figure will either represent the "Original Stock Level" or
"On Order" depending on the "Stocked Date".
If "Stocked Date" is blank, the stock has not been received, therefore read "On
Order".
If "Stocked Date" has a value, the stock has been received, therefore read "Original
Stock Level".
Stocked Date:
Plays a very IMPORTANT role in proper stock tracking, please read
above.
Current Stock Level:
"Current Stock Level" field is used one of two ways depending on
the value of "Requires Stock Details" (see
Inventory Item Screen Help
for more details).
If the corresponding Item for which we are tracking stock does not require stock
details ("Requires Stock Details" unticked) then "Current Stock Level" can be manually
adjusted. Please note that in this case, when receiving the stock ordered, the storeman
must in fact update the stock level manually (as well as the "Stocked Date") to
indicate how much stock was actually received.
If the corresponding Item for which we are tracking stock does in fact require stock
details ("Requires Stock Details" is ticked) then "Current Stock Level" can not
be manually adjusted. The "Current Stock Level" is automatically adjusted when stock
numbers are added (click "Current Stock Level" link to view screen).
